St. John of the Wilderness

I think this is one of the oldest Christian churches in India. The church lies on the way down to town and has a monument of Lord Elgin, the viceroy who loved the area so much he proposed moving the summer capital of India to Dharamsala, which went unnoticed by the Raj at the time.

I find the place quite tranquil and beautiful.












There's not much else to write. I think - I hope - the pictures speak for themselves. I'll be posting more pretty pictures before I get back to a narrative.
